Cause of Anna Garcia's Death Keton Acidosis
Based on her final autopsy it is evident that Anna Garcia passed away from Ketoacidosis. When looking at her brain it showed that she had signs of cerebral edema which is a symptom of Ketoacidosis. Along with this it is stated that Ketoas were present in her urine as well as well as a high amount of ketoas in the blood at a level of 1.2 mmol/L. Also her blood contained a high amount of acids (pH 6.95) as well as almost two times the amount of blood glucose levels than normal 280 mg/dL. In the autopsy report 1.3.1 it states that there are trace amounts of acetylsalicyclic acid present in her blood. Also in her 2.3.3 autopsy report it is said that she had ketones in her urine. Relating back to the original crime scene vomiting is a symptom of ketoacidosis. Also, she might have fallen from nausea and breathing difficulties. As well as the orange juice that would have affected her by increasing her glucose levels and the puncture wounds in her leg would have been from her trying to get insulin into her system but missing the mandatory muscle due to shakiness.
