We learned the difference between Normal and Sickle-Shaped red blood cells while doing the 3.1.1 Blood Detectives Lab. We did a lot of comparing throughout the conclusion questions. This lab meets the criteria for this objective because throughout the lab we did observations between sickled and normal red blood cells and we also did a lot of comparing the two while completing the lab, specifically during the conclusion questions. At the beginning of the year I didn't know much about the difference between sickled and normal red blood cells but now I know a lot. For example, I know that sickled cells have a more folded shape than normal red blood cells and I also know that they are more likely to cause blood clots than healthy red blood cells.
